(As far as I'm concerned you aren't playing BG if you don't use Stratagems, it does its best to make combat more challanging while being "fair" by making the baddies smarter, as opposed to merely having bigger numbers.)
Be aware though that it has to be installed after the NPC Project if you use both.) (Unfinished Biz restores some content that the real devs allowed to hit the cutting floor for whatever reason.
(The NPC Project and its add-ons gives more life to the original Saga NPCs and was written to be respectful of the NPC's lore and canon by people who loved them.)
